"Two young precious girls bounced around a lot of bad homes. Their mom had a substance abuse problem and their father was not very interested in being responsible for their care. They were my husband’s cousins, and they were twelve and fifteen years old. When they came to our home to visit, as they often did, they told us that they wanted to stay for good this time.
